The Panopticon and the September Issue

They're back, with more vocal fry than ever! If you thought the title was something clever, it's not, it's exactly what the episode is about! Hope and Jackie watch the 2009 documentary The September Issue, which features Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and the whole Vogue #family as they work on the biggest issue of the year. Instead of watching for funzies, they watch through the lens of Michel Foucault's theory of Panopticism, thinking about the power that Vogue has over our ideas of norms. Enjoy!
